Volunteers Wanted – COOKING CLASS ASSISTANT
As a Cooking Class Assistant, you have a great opportunity to not only meet and learn from food enthusiasts, but also gain practical experience and eat delicious food.
As a CCA, your responsibilities will include:
- Prep food prior to class, such as washing produce, chopping ingredients, and getting appropriate ingredients and supplies out for class.
- Set kitchen carts and tables which include ingredients, kitchen supplies & gadgets, plates, silverware, napkins/paper towels etc.
- Load and unload dishwasher and store and restock items.
- Wipe down tables and chairs before AND after class.
- Set up beverage station (water, tea and/or coffee).
- Closely observe class instruction, assist students when needed, engage with students, and have fun.
- Assist in clean-up during AND after class.
- Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the SipSavorSoul Kitchen Staff. For example, go to the store for a missing ingredient, clean up a major spill or make extra copies of recipe cards.
No Experience Necessary. Must be 13 and order to be a volunteer.
